Document Setup
A file properly set up will help ensure a perfect result
When you provide us with the project files for your job, please ensure that the following guidelines are met. This will minimize the time needed for preparation and will help getting your project to you even sooner.
PREPARING YOUR ARTWORK
BLEED AREA
An additional 1/8″ on all sides of the document is absolutely required. Make sure that all background images and colours extend into this bleed area to avoid having a white frame around your design.
SAFE ZONE
Additionally, please adjust your all text and important graphics to be within 1/8″ inside of the finished trimmed size on all four sides to prevent text and other important items from being cut off.
COLOURS
The file needs to be in CMYK colour not RGB.
USE OF BLACK
When using large areas of black, use a version of Rich black (e.g.: 40% Cyan, 40% Magenta, 30% Yellow, 100% Black) in order to ensure a deep solid black finish. You can use process black for regular text and lines, this will result in crisp text and edges.
RESOLUTION
The resolution of your file must be 300dpi or higher, all images contained in your files must be high-resolution or they will come out pixelated and blurry.
PROJECT FILES
If you require us to update a previous design, please ensure that you provide us with all necessary project files and images as well as fonts If possible.
FILETYPES
High-resolution PDFs, EPS or JPEGs are fine
